UDHAMPUR, APRIL-17:- Principal Secretary to Government School Education Department, Shri Bishwajeet Singh today visited District Udhampur to review the functioning of education sector in the District.
On reaching Udhampur, Chief Education Officer Arvin Kumar Koul, DIET Principal Mtr. Gulzar Begam and other staff of Education department gave a warm welcome to Principal Secretary. CEO Udhampur and DIET Principal gave a brief note on the functioning of various activities launched by the Education Department. He also enquired about various ongoing civil works especially DIET Kud. He asked Principal DIET Kud to direct the staff especially HODs and Lecturers to adopt at least one high or higher sec. school to raise the educational standards and implement new education policy in letter and spirit. Later he interacted with the master trainers of Vidya Pravesh in the meeting hall of Dak Banglow at Udhampur. He enquired about the achievement and implementationof Vidya Pravesh at grass root level and stressed upon the kindergarten classes in the schools where primary classes are already running. He advised master trainers of Vidya Pravesh to to train all the teachers teaching primary classes to implement foundational literacy and numeracy through playway and enjoyable method and corelate the teaching learning process with the natural and family environment of the kids. He also advised the master trainers to use child friendly and innovative methods with zero investment while implementing FLN. At last he appreciated the services rendered by the Education Department during covid-19 pandemic.
