Jammu: Director, School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma today inaugurated the school building for PS Belicharana constructed by PIU Jammu under JTFRP through world Bank Funding.The Technical Review Mission Team from World Bank officially handed over the newly constructed school building to the Director School Education Jammu.
Chief Education Officer Jammu Sh.Suraj Singh Rathore and ZEO Satwari Smt Rashmi Rathore alongwith JKTF Chairman Sh Ganesh Khajuria was also present at the occasion.
Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma , while addressing the gathering, laid special emphasis on Child- Centred curriculum to be followed in letter and spirit by the teaching community and highlighted the importance of Vocationalisation and Contextualisation of Education. He further assured everyone of full support and cooperation of the Directorate while helping the students to receive the best possible education along with suitable environment and adequate opportunities to push themselves towards success in life.
While interacting with the teachers, he laid stress on increasing the enrollment in Govt.Schools and encouraged the teachers to provide quality education to the students.
The program was also attended by the parents and VEC members who appreciated the progressive participation of the world bank team in the development of the education system through the Education Department and thanked the Directorate School Education for actively pursuing the isuue and getting the school building constructed which will go a long way in helping the students of the area.
The committee members also thanked the HOI Sd. Harjeet Singh and other staff members for their commendable efforts and requested the Worthy Director to look into the probability of upgradation of the school as the area could get benefitted further.
