Jammu: Today on 24 Jan 2022, National Girl Child Day was celebrated by various schools of Disrict Udhampur under the guidance of their HOI’s via virtual mode.
National Girl Child Day is celebrated to promote awareness about the rights of a girl child and importance of their education, health and nutrition.
Students celebrated the day by organizing various events like Essay writing, Slogan writing, Speech, Drawing etc based on theme “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Save the Girl Child”.
Staff members also awared students about various initiatives being taken by Government in education sector for the progress of Girl child and empowerment of the girls.
About 3754 students of 345 schools and 256 parents/Stakeholders participated in the program.
Whole event organized under the direct supervision and guidance of CEO Udhampur Sh Arvin Kumar Koul. He appreciated the efforts of the students and staff members who participated in various events and helped in creating awareness in the society about the rights of a Girl Child.
