Kathua: Chief Education Officer Kathua, Mr. P L Thapa paid surprise visits to various schools of District Kathua to assess the status of COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines being followed by the schools as per the directions issued by the JKUT government and other day to day workings, keeping in view the recent decision to restart offline classes.
Mr Thapa visited Govt. High School Govindsar, Govt. Middle School Mora Drallan, Govt. Middle School Maroli, Govt. Higher Secondary school Kharote and Government High School Gaiterwan and took note of punctuality and attendance of staff, store stock, library, ICT Labs, Solar Panel, Mid Day Meal details, Samagra shiksha grants utilization, Checked Cash book of institution, facelifting of schools, verified the status of updation of school data on Aadharshila web portal, Audit para details, filling up of daily attendance on the google link provided by higher authorities within time
. He passed on necessary instructions to the HOIs for the betterment of the schools and students.
The Chief Education Officer asked the HOIs to maintain the assets on daily basis, to constitute book banks in institution to help needy students, to take up plantation drives in schools in order to save environment and to focus on strengthening classroom education by all means for the benefit of students.
The Chief Education officer asked the staff members to give their hundred percent so that the loss of studies because of Covid-19 can be mitigated to some extent.
