Ramban: Today NSS Unit of Government Degree College, Ramban organized a series of events on “Saheedi Diwas” at College campus under the patronage of Dr Ranvijay Singh, Principal, Govt Degree College Ramban under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav” . The programme was inaugurated with Pledge by college students and staff members followed by an awareness rally on contribution of our unsung heroes in Indian Independence, from College campus to Karole bridge.
In the afternoon session, a group song titled “ Aao Bacho Tume Dikhey janki Hindustan ki” was performed by NSS Volunteers followed by two patriotic solo songs “Kar chale hum fida & Ae mere vatan ke logo” by Deepak Thakur and Rajni chib respectively.
A poster making competition on the theme “Unsung Heroes of Indian freedom Struggle” was held in which Meenkshi Raju and Ansoya Devi of semester – II, secured first and second position and Sachin Chib & Soni Katoch of semester II secured the third position respectively. Approximately, 50 NSS volunteers took part in the above series of events. The staff members namely Dr Vikram Rathore, Mr Ramandeep Kralia, Mr chanakaya Sharma and Prof Bansi Lal were also present. The proceedings of the whole events were conducted by Prof. Ankur Dogra. The overall programme was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Vickey Rattan, Programme officer, NSS Unit GDC Ramban.
