Bharti Foundation in collaboration with the DSEJ has initiated the project of inculcating 10 Life Skills among School Students through strengthening the existing House Systems in the schools and in this connection two days offline Training on life skills was inaugurated today at SIKS HSS Boys Udhampur by Worthy Chief Education Office Udhampur Mr. Arvin Kumar Koul. In this training 52 Nodal Officers which were nominated by the Principals Complex Incharge attended training that were trained by Resource Persons of Bharti foundation along with District counseling coordinators Smt. Renu Kotwal Sr. Lecturer and Mr. Vinod Bhardwaj Teacher.
In this training these Resource persons are to be trained to strengthen the existing House System in the schools which aims to infuse Life skills among Students by various new innovative techniques which are in consonance with National Education Policy 2020. Speaking on the occasion Chief Education officer said that, “Strengthening the House System will further create healthy competition amongst the students thereby resulting in various skills development and also infuse self-confidence among students along with honour for our democratic institutions as under these house system students have to nominate Captain and Vice captains through democratic election process.”
It is pertinent to mention here that already four Houses are working effectively in the schools named as Eco House, Peace House, Well Being House , Wisdom House These House systems also play very important role in morning assemblies and also while conducting various academic and non-academic activities in schools .In this training , these Resource Persons will be trained to adopt and integrate life skills approach in the day to day life activities.
