Jammu: In order to improve the work culture of Govt. Schools and raising the standard of education of students. Joint Director (JSK) along with CEO Jammu paid surprise visit to the Govt. Schools of District Jammu namely GGHSS Mubarak Mandi, GHS Domana, MS Domana and Primary School Patoli Brahmana to take stock of the Educational standard and work culture.
Joint Director (JSK) Subah Mehta, JKAS while interacting with the staff and students emphasized on the adoption of best teaching-learning techniques. She asked the students to put in more efforts so as to excel in their life and emerge as winners. She motivated the teachers to create depository of study material to be utilized by the needy students. She said that tests should be conducted to check the comprehensibility of the taught content and progress report is to be prepared for improvement of the students.
She asked the teachers to ensure the use of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) in their teaching process. The teachers must illustrate the content with the help of examples. Joint Director (JKS) stressed upon the identification of slow achievers and asked the HoIs to arrange remedial classes for them. She also instructed the school authorities to make optimum utilization of library and ICT labs.
Subah Mehta referred to National Education Policy-2022 and said that the basic fundamental skills viz; listening, speaking, reading and writing should be developed amongst students. She mentioned Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and said that the foundation should be strengthened with a quality education to be imparted by quality of teachers.
At higher level, students must be aware of various vocational courses, self-employment schemes, Scholarship schemes so as to ascertain their bright future.
Sh. Suraj Singh Rathore, CEO Jammu apprised the Joint Director (JSK) regarding various centrally sponsored Govt. Schemes implemented in J&K UT for the betterment of the educational institutions.
