TWO-DAY ART AND PAINTING COMPETITION EVENT CONCLUDES AT GOVT HISH SECONDARY SCHOOL BUDHI

UDHAMPUR:  A two-day Art and Painting competition held at Government High School, HSS Budhi, concluded .

The event was organized on the 24th and 25th of February,2022, by the Information and Broadcasting Department (Government of India).

In the event organized under the ‘Azadi Ke Mahotsav’ initiative, about 200 students from different classes of GHS Budhi participated and made paintings on several topics such as COVID safety, women empowerment, cleanliness, equality, back to school and equality in society, etc.

Today on the 2nd day of the event was graced by Mr. P.L. Thapa, Chief Education Officer, District Kathua, Sub-Inspector Ms. Kiran, SHO Kathua, Mrs. Sushma Devi, BDC Member, and Mr. Om Prakash Sharma, Sarpanch, Budhi.

A Cultural program was also presented by the students of GHSS Budhi.

Mr. Om Parkash Sharma, Principal GHS Budhi with his staff members welcomed the guests and presented them with flower bouquets.

CEO Kathua distributed prizes of painting competition among the winners and in his speech, he emphasized working in line with New Education Policy (NEP2020) and insuring the safety of the students who recently have been able to attend the schools after a gap of almost two years.

The CEO also inaugurated an ICT Lab on the school premises.

Ms. Kiran also delivered a brief speech on women empowerment, prevention from drug abuse etc. and motivated students to follow healthy practices and make society more graceful with their efforts rather than getting influenced by negative people and thoughts.

Mrs. Sushma Devi, the BDC member, gave her best wishes to students and motivated them to devote maximum time to their studies as the exams are approaching.

Mr. Om Prakash, Principal GHS Budhi, also spoke on the occasion and thanked all the participants for a good show. He also expressed his gratitude to the visiting dignitaries and said that the students feel motivated by such events and the blessings of dignitaries.
