DIET Udhampur concludes five days online Training program ….
Udhampur: DIET Udhampur conducted a five days long capacity building programe for in-service teachers at elementary level in social science which concluded today.
The training program was attended by ninety (90) teacher participants from three zones viz Udhampur, Baby and Tikri.
Mr.Rakesh Singh, Teacher, Mr. Hoshyaar Singh, Teacher, Mr. Govind, Master and Ms. Suguna Khajuryia, Teacher, were the Resource Persons who deliberated on different topics and pedagogy of social science at elementary level.
Mrs. Sushma Gupta senior most HOD and Inharge Principal DIET Udhampur in the valedictory address appreciated the presentations of Resource Persons and impressed upon the teacher participants to implement the positive outcomes of this training program in their respective schools so that the objective of the training was achieved in the context that students at elementary level get benefited .
Mrs. Sushma Gupta also stressed on making the most of the opportunity to enhance the academic excellence in the entire district of Udhampur as desired by worthy chief Education officer Udhampur Mr. Arvind koul who was leaving no stone unturned to facilitate the students in rehabilitating in schools after having passed through troubled times of covid 19 and lockdown for almost 2 years.
Dr Mohd Farooq Shan Sr. Lec in Sociology coordinated the online five days training program.
While stressing on the grave need, importance and relevance of Social Sciences in current,changing and challenging times, pressed upon teachers to make sure that the fundamental moral,social and religious values are incorporated into the personalities of budding students as the institution of family was undergoing a lot of functional change and now teachers have to shoulderķ the responsibility to impart the civic and social traits that the institution of family formerly used to shoulder .
Mr Rakesh Singh apart from being a resource person provided the technical support as well while Shiv Kumar Sharma Sr lec DIET udhampur and incharge Smagra-Shiksha provided the logistic support to make the training program a success.
