Udhampur:- An enrollment drive and community mobilization campaign was organized by Govt. High School Sundla, Zone Babey District Udhampur with full pomp and show under the guidance of CEO Udhampur Mr. Arvin Kumar Koul.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Headmaster GHS Sundla Mr. Nand Lal.
Zonal Education Officer, Babey , Mr. Amar Nath was the chief guest on the occasion while, Mr Raman khajuria, Sarpanch panchayat Sundla was the Guest of Honour.
The motto of this campaign was to spread awareness among the public of panchyat Sundla & adjoining area about the importance of education and to motivate them to enroll their wards in Govt. High School Sundla.
ZEO BABEY, in his address appealed to the local public to enroll their wards in Govt. School so to take all benifits of all Governmnt schemes.
Raman khajuria Sarpanch also stressed on the importance of education, specifically the girl child.
A rally was also organised on the occasion which started from the school premises, passed through panchyat Ghar Sundla to Ambika Mata temple and returned back & culminated in the School premises.
Public & PRI’s also joined in the rally.
Cultural items were also presented by students. Dogri song composed by famous Dogri artist Mr. Subash Brahmanu, Teacher ” Sunyo loko gal meri Tus kariyo ni parvha bachey gi padhayo pamhy kareya lakh puba” about the importance of Education was performed by the students on the occasion.
All the cultural items were prepared by the under the mentorship of Mrs. Milan Rajput and Ms. Kanta Devi.
Incharge Cultural Club & ZICC, Mr. Hushiar Singh in his address motivated the public to come forward for the upliftment of the school and education of children, and to enroll their wards in GHS SUNDLA.
Students Welfare Box (Donation box) was also installed in the presence of ZEO Mr. Amar Nath Sarpanch Mr. Raman khajuria, Headmaster GHS SUNDLA and all the other dignitaries.
Other prominent residents of panchyat Sundla, Jyoti Devi Panch, Janak Singh Panch, Yash Paul panch, Ravi kumar (SMDC) Prem Chand, Rita Devi, Ranjana Devi, Nirmla Devi, ,Surinder Singh Mankotia,Parents and other citizens were also present to make the drive successful.
Mr. Ajay kumar presented the Vote of Thanks on the occasion.
