FIRST NATIONAL CONCLAVE ON NEP BEGINS AT JAMMU.  

Jammu: The first  National Conclave on National Education Policy (NEP) was inaugurated  by Principal Secretary to Government (Education), Mr. Alok Kumar at Convention center Jammu, today, on 09_01_2023.

The two day event is being organized by Department of School Education in collaboration with Agri Industries Vikas Chamber.

The Cheif Guest, Principal Secretary, Mr. Alok Kumar in his speech touched upon the finer aspects of NEP, its imementation, impact and aims.

Enterprenauship has to become the “core of education”,  were  the views expressed by  Prof. Rejesh Nair,  MIT(USA) who joined in through virtual mode.

Nair  shared his experiences of working in Education sector covering multiple countries to understand the process of making, creating and guiding sustainable students enterprenaurs . He added that NEP has opened up entirely new firmaments for inovation & creativity for Educationists  and it was opportune time to explore the possibilities to the fullest.

Meanwhile Mr. Abhyanand, Retd.DG and founder of Super 30 shared his valuable experiences in exploring the new meanings of education. He said that NEP will help teachers & educationists to discover and invent new methodologiest and pedagogies for the benefit of the students.

Other dignitaries who spoke on the occassion were Mr. Mehboob Makhdoomi, Lateef Masoodi, Mrs. Bindu Singh and Dr Ashoq Kumar Thakur.

While presenting the closing address for the day Dr. Manoj Gupta along with Dr. Touseef Ahmed launched the 1st Psychometric Olympaid.

Guests of honour Ms. Anu Behl, Special Secretary, School Education Department, Mr. Nasser Ahmed, Special Secretary (SED), Dr.Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education, Jammu were joined in by a galaxy of dignitaries including Deepak Raj Kanethia , Director Smagra Shiksha, Mr.Iftikar Hussain, Director Finance (School Education Department), Mr.Hemraj Pakhroo, Joint Director SED, Ms. Subah Mehta, Joint Director SED and Mr. Fayaz Ahmed Fayaz, Joint Secretary SCERT (Central) and Ms. Bindu Singh, Managing Director
Agri Industries Vikas Chamber among others.

The event is the first of a series of conclaves to be organised in the UT of J&K wherein all aspects of NEP will be discussed and deliberated upon and make the teachers aware about the operational aspects of NEP.

The stage was managed by Dr.Alka Sharma, Ms.Preety Sharma and Ms. Bindu Sharma on the occasion.
