District Level Song And Dance Competition Organised In Rajouri Schools

Today on 15th February 2023, DIET Rajouri in collaboration with the J&K Board of School Education organised District Level Role Play & Folk Song/Dance Competition on NAEP, SHWP and SDGs at Govt. Girls Model HSS Rajouri. Mrs Geeta Bharti Tr & DRG DIET Rajouri who is also the DNO of Adult Education carried out the proceedings of the programme. Students from different schools took part in different categories. The purpose of organising this competition is to aware the students’ community about different issues viz. Protection of the Environment, Prevention of substance abuse, Role of joint family in child development, Healthy relationships during adolescence, plastic pollution, gender equality, good health and mental well-being, reduced inequality etc & how to redress these issues. Moreover, the main aim is to aware students of 17 sustainable development goals issued by the United Nation. The students from GHSS Seri (Dandesar) secured first position in the Folk dance competition whereas students of HS Chakjarallan ( Dandesar)secured first position in the Roleplay category. The second position was secured by the students of GMHSS Rajouri in Folk dance and the students of GHSS Dehri Ralyote in the role-play category. The third position was clinched by the students of MS Irwan Khetar in Folk dance and the students of GBMHSS Rajouri in the role play. A panel of judges is appointed to make a fair judgement. Principal DIET Rajouri in her address appreciated the efforts of the teachers in preparing their students for District level participation.

The students who secured the top three positions in different categories were awarded by the Principal DIET Rajouri. The top team was selected for the UT-level competition.

Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Raina Tr DIET Rajouri also spoke on the occasion. Mr. Raina stressed upon the students to play a positive role in society as they are the future of the nation and has the power to help a country develop and move towards

progress. He stressed them to keep themselves away from various evils in society and contribute to making the environment healthy for sustainable development.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks from Mrs Geeta Bharti.
