Jammu: Mr. Ashok Sharma, Director School Education, Jammu, today declared the two day Divisonal Level Kala Utsav 2023-24 open for the competitions, here at Teacher Bhawan, Jammu.
Around 200 students, who are the winners of the district level competition will participate in this divisional level contest in 10 different art forms – Vocal Music (Classical), Vocal Music (folk), Instrumental Music (Percussion), Instrumental music (Melody ), Dance (classical), Dance (Traditional), Visual art (2D), Visual art (3d), Traditional Toys and Games and in Solo Acting category.
The winners of the Divisional Level Competitions will further participate in the UT level competitions for a place in the National Level Competitions.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Mr. Ashok Sharma, DSEJ, said that, “Today’s students are tomorrow’s artists, enterprenaurs and world leaders” and for the all round development of the students the Directorate organises various competions and Kala Utsav is one such event where students are provided with a platfom to dislpay their art and skills.
He wished the students good luck for the competitions and advised them to work hard to make their dreams come true.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion included Ms. Subah Mehta, Joint Director, DSEJ, Mr. Suraj Singh Rathore, CEO Jammu and Deputy CEO Jammu.
