Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu observes World Heart Day.

Jammu: World Heart Day is observed on September 29 every year to raise awareness about heart disease and preventive measures that can help prevent cardiovascular diseases.
Good health is the foundation on which the success of your life is built”.

Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu’s students along with the teachers participated in WALKATHON, organised by Cardiology department, Govt. Medical College Jammu with high spirits. The students carried banners and posters for imparting awareness to promote heart health for overall well-being. More than 350 students and 15 teachers from the school participated in this run from Vikram Chowk to Superspeciality hospital, Bakshi Nagar.

A health check-up, also known as a medical check-up or physical examination is an essential aspect of preventive healthcare, allowing medical professionals to detect and address potential health issues before they become more serious.

The school management in collaboration with MEDANTA organised a health check up camp in school to ensure sound health of the teachers, supporting staff and community members. The camp was inaugurated by our esteemed Principal Rohini Aima. We noticed a lot of enthusiasm among teachers.

Two reputed doctors Dr. Arvind Sharma (Sr. Physician) and Dr. Ankur Kaushik (Cardiologist)of Medanta Hospital, Delhi NCR and the medical staff from Stephens Group of Institutions were present for this purpose. Dr. Ankur Kaushik (Cardiologist) the head of the medical team, supervised the entire process himself. Even blood samples were also collected for some medical tests. Sugar, ECG , PFT , BP were also done in this camp.

Dr. Arvind Sharma promised all possible help to supporting staff free of cost. The principal of our school expressed heart-felt thanks to the doctors and medical staff. They promised to visit our school in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Poster making competition was also organised in school premises on World Heart Day.The prizes were also distributed among the winners by Rohini Aima (Principal cum Vice-Chairperson) and eminent doctors. The entire staff of the school thanked Principal mam and the school management for organising Medical check-up camp.
