This initiative, spearheaded by the Zonal Education Officer Ramgarh and supported by the esteemed Chief Education Officer Samba, aimed to broaden the horizons of students by exposing them to higher institutes and historic monuments.
A total of 452 students, accompanied by 48 escort staff members, embarked on this educational journey. The excursion commenced with a hearty breakfast and distribution of stationary items in front of the Tehsil Office Ramgarh. The group traveled in 11 buses to their first destination, Central University Jammu (Rahya).
At the university, the students had the privilege of visiting the Vivekananda Educational Block, as well as engaging with experts at various departments including the DRDO lab and ISRO Lab. This interaction provided valuable insights and sparked curiosity among the students.
Following the enriching visit to the university, the group proceeded to Purmandal, where they explored ancient Shiv temples and immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region. A sumptuous lunch and snacks were provided to all participants, ensuring their energy levels remained high throughout the day.
The students actively engaged with local experts and historians, displaying a keen interest in learning about different cultures and historical landmarks. The trip not only provided educational value but also served as a platform for students to bond and create lasting memories.
As the day came to a close, the students returned to their respective schools, enriched with newfound knowledge and experiences. The success of this study trip underscores the importance of experiential learning in making education more engaging and meaningful for young minds.
