Gandhi Jayanti Celebrated Across District Rajouri Schools with Enthusiasm: CEO Rajouri, Sh. Bishamber Dass, Visits HSS Chingus

Rajouri, 2nd October 2024: Schools across District Rajouri celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great enthusiasm and reverence, organizing a series of activities to honor the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. Events such as debates, essay competitions, and cleanliness drives marked the day in schools, reflecting on Gandhi’s message of peace, non-violence, and truth.

Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri, Sh. Bishamber Dass, graced the occasion with his presence at the Higher Secondary School (HSS) Chingus. He was warmly welcomed by the Principal of HSS Chingus, Sh. Zaman Shah, along with staff members and students. During his visit, Sh. Bishamber Dass paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals and delivered an inspiring speech that left the students filled with zeal and motivation. He emphasized the importance of following Gandhi’s teachings of non-violence, truth, and simplicity, urging students to adopt these principles in their lives.

In addition to participating in the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, CEO Rajouri took the opportunity to review the ongoing infrastructure projects at HSS Chingus. He appreciated the efforts of the Principal and staff in ensuring quality education while also focusing on improving the school’s infrastructure. CEO Rajouri assured his full support in maintaining and upgrading the school’s organizational structures, highlighting the importance of a conducive learning environment for students.

Interacting with both the staff and students, CEO Rajouri encouraged them to uphold the spirit of Gandhi’s vision of education, which focuses on character-building alongside academic excellence. He reiterated the Department’s commitment to providing better facilities and educational opportunities for students in District Rajouri.

The visit concluded with a note of encouragement from the CEO for continued efforts in promoting education, discipline, and moral values among students, which are the cornerstone of a progressive society, as envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi.
