One-Day FLN Conference Held in Kalakote: CEO Rajouri Highlights the Importance of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy

Rajouri, December 12, 2024 – A one-day conference on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) was successfully organized at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Kalakote, with the participation of staff members from Kalakote and Moughla zones. The event saw the attendance of 120 educators, including Cluster Heads, Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs), Headmasters, and Heads of Institutions (HOIs) from Middle Schools, as well as subject-specific Resource Persons.

The conference focused on equipping educators with innovative strategies to enhance foundational learning among students. Resource Persons delivered detailed presentations on effective teaching methods, emphasizing the need for an interactive and inclusive approach. Teachers whose Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) were recognized as the best at the cluster level were honored with Appreciation Certificates for their exemplary contributions.

Sh. Bishamber Dass, CEO Rajouri, in his keynote address, underlined the significance of FLN as the foundation of academic excellence. He stressed the importance of integrating Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) in classrooms to foster a more engaging and effective learning environment.
