Binoon: In an effort to promote inclusivity, “Taare Zameen Par” movie was screened in SWR.VERINDER KUMAR Govt HSS Binoon, Kishtwar under the guidance and supervision of Principal Deepak Sharma.
“Tare Zamin Par” is a highly acclaimed Indian film that highlights the importance of empathizing with children who have learning difficulties or special needs.It emphasizes the crucial role parents play in their child’s education and development.It also showcases the positive impact of a supportive teacher-student relationship on a child’s growth.The movie promotes acceptance and inclusion of individuals with differences.It highlights the importance of specialized education and support for children with special needs.
A feedback session with students and staff was also conducted by Principal Deepak Sharma about the learning/message from the movie that was watched by students and staff of school. In deliberations, Principal discussed that Every Child is unique. Some children are specially abled. They are not abnormal. All stakeholders including parents, teachers and peer students must understand the abilities and different learning disabilities of special children and they must be accepted and treated well among other children. Every School Should be inclusive. No exclusion on any ground is acceptable. Deepak Sharma further stressed that in true spirit of National Education Policy 2020, teaching learning process has to be inclusive for holistic development of children in particular and inclusive development of society in general.
