Rajouri, October 16, 2024: In a bid to improve the academic performance of schools across District Rajouri, Chief Education Officer Rajouri Sh. Bishamber Dass has taken a proactive approach, launching an extensive inspection campaign across 106 schools, including High Schools, Middle Schools, and Primary Schools. This large-scale inspection drive was conducted in all clusters, with special teams led by Principals, tasked with scrutinizing various aspects of school functioning.
During this initiative, CEO Rajouri personally inspected schools in Zone Rajouri, including HS Ziarat Sharief, MS Kraiyan, and MS Dassal Gujjran. The primary focus of the inspections was on key areas influencing student learning outcomes. This included checking student attendance, evaluating the implementation of the Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) program to assess students’ basic understanding of literacy and numeracy skills, and ensuring that school environments were being properly maintained through facelift initiatives.
The inspections also delved into the proper utilization of school grants, adherence to the teacher’s diary for effective lesson planning, and ensuring that the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) provided to students met the prescribed balanced diet standards and followed the set menu. CEO Rajouri expressed his concern over any deficiencies found during the inspections, stressing that immediate action would be taken to address gaps in school functioning, with the ultimate goal of enhancing educational outcomes across the district.
CEO Rajouri Sh Bishamber Dass reiterated his vision for improving the overall quality of education in Rajouri. He emphasized that schools must be held accountable not only for academic results but also for the holistic development of students, which includes well-maintained facilities and a healthy diet. “Strict action will be taken against any schools where deficiencies are identified,” he affirmed, underlining his commitment to ensuring that every child receives quality education in a conducive learning environment.
