Rajouri, — In a concerted effort to enhance the educational landscape of Rajouri District, Chief Education Officer Rajouri, Sh. Bishamber Dass, convened a crucial meeting with all Principals and Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) of the district. The meeting aimed to reinforce the commitment to academic excellence and ensure the smooth conduct of upcoming electoral processes in schools.
During the meeting, CEO Rajouri issued clear directives to ensure the availability of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) in all schools designated as polling stations. This measure is critical for the seamless execution of the election process, reflecting the district’s commitment to civic responsibilities.
CEO Rajouri emphasized the importance of academic continuity in schools where there are staffing gaps. He directed Cluster Heads to organize online lectures for subjects lacking faculty, leveraging resources from other schools with available staff. This initiative ensures that students do not suffer academically due to teacher shortages.
A thorough review of the status of the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for student uniforms was also conducted. CEO Rajouri urged all education officers to ensure 100% DBT in students’ accounts, underscoring the importance of timely and transparent financial support for students.
In his address, the CEO stressed the need for regular school visits by Principals and ZEOs to monitor academic performance, verify the upkeep of teacher diaries, and ensure that the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) is served according to the prescribed menu. These measures aim to maintain high standards of education and nutrition across all schools.
Further directives were issued to make all school laboratories fully functional, enabling the regular conduct of practicals and fostering active student participation. CEO Rajouri, Sh. Bishamber Dass, also highlighted the need for the proper utilization of Annual School Grants, emphasizing that these funds should be used effectively to meet the specific needs of students and the schools.
Lastly, CEO Rajouri encouraged all to embrace modern technology, including smart classrooms and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), to elevate the standard of education in the district.
