Educational Tour to Atal Setu Bridge Basholi Inspires Students

Kathua 23-02-2024: A group of 250 students from five Govt. schools namely HSS Hiranagar ,HSS Marheen, HS Sherpur, GHS Hiranagar and GHS Marheen embarked on an educational tour to the historic Atal Setu Bridge in Basholi under the leadership of Zonal Education Officer Hiranagar Sh. Des Raj and other Officials. The tour aimed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences and foster a deeper appreciation for India’s rich cultural and historical heritage. The tour began with a visit to the Atal Setu Bridge, an architectural marvel that stands as a symbol of engineering excellence. Students were fascinated by the bridge’s unique design, which allows it to withstand the turbulent waters of the Ravi River. They learned about the construction process, the challenges faced by engineers, and the bridge’s significance as a vital transportation link in the region. The tour also included visits to several educational monuments and sites of historical importance in the area.
