Today on 23/02/2024 District Level Dance competition was organized under the aegis of Chief Education Office, Udhampur at SIKS HSS Boys Udhampur in which Chief Guest Chief Education Officer Udhampur Geetu Bangotra and Guest of honour Dy. Chief Education Officer Udhampur Kalpna Jasrotia graced the occasion with their auspicious presence the said event. The Competition was inaugurated with impressive speech of Geetu Bangotra, accompanied by DEPO Udhampur Chand Krishan Pandita and Renu Kotwal Vice-Principal of SIKS HSS Boys Udhampur.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ek Bharta Shreshtha Bharta activity was a unique initiative of Govt. of India in which Jammu Kashmir UT was paired with the Tamilnadu State and series of activities was organized from time to time with the aim of cultural fusion between two states.
In the said competition eleven schools of secondary level participated and contestants mesmerize the audience with their captivating cultural performance on the theme of Tamil Dance. Judges Sunita Tikoo, Amandeep Kaur and Anuradha has judged the performance minutely in fair and impartial manner, which was very tough as all the performances are well orchestrated.
On the basis of their performances Supriya Sharma of HSS Chak clinched the first position, Gudia of HSS Barta secured the second position and Tania Choudhary of HSS Battal-Ballian secured the third position.
Rakesh Singh DRG, Vivek Gupta and Amita Sharma PET played their crucial role in making the programme huge successful.
At last certificates of appreciation distributed to the Toppers and Jury members and refreshment distributed to all the Participants.
