Chief Electoral Officer J&K visits Govt.HSS Boys Doda to oversee the SVEEP activities.

Doda: SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) is a flagship programme of the Election Commission of India to promote voter education and participation in elections to make significant enhancment of Voter turnout and greater participation for Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Chief Electrol Officer Jammu and Kashmir Sh.P.K Pole visited Boys Higher Secondary School Doda along with District Election Officer Sh.Harvinder Singh IAS and other District Officers to oversee the ongoing SVEEP activities organised by the students of different institutions.

Chief Education Officer Doda Sh.Parkash Lal Thapa along with Principal Sh.Tanveer Ahmed Wani and staff of Boys Higher Secondary School welcomed the visiting team with great enthusiasm and commitment towards achieving the purpose of the initiative.

Principal of the institution briefed about the action plan to the CEO J&K regarding the activities which are to be organised under SVEEP at different educational zones of the District.

Chief Electoral Officer J&K saw the paintings, Rangoli Art and posters prepared by the students which were to impart the awareness and educate about the importance of voting to new voters.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO stressed upon the importance of initiating door-to-door campaigns to maximize voter turnout under SVEEP.

He urged all stakeholders to perform their duties with dedication, integrity and proactive approach, considering the upcoming election as the largest democratic exercise.

The CEO during the visit took stock of arrangements and preparations in the polling station established in HSS Boys Doda for the upcoming elections. He issued necessary directions to the concerned officials besides emphasising on adherence to the guidelines issued by Election Commission of India.

CEO, on the occasion, also interacted with the students and staff and briefed them about the importance of maximum participation in the democratic exercise.
