Samba, 27-02-2024 – an opportunity provided by Samagra Shiksha (centrally Sponsered Scheme) under the intervention RAA(Rashtriya Abhishkar Abhiyan) for the year 2023-24 regarding the study trip for students to visit Higher Institutes/historic Monuments.
In this connection, a study trip at Central University Jammu (Rahya) and historic place Purmandal (Utterbehni) for students of Secondary and Sr. Secondary schools of zone Samba namely HSS Samba (Boys), HSS Samba (Girls), HSS Sumb ,HSS Goran, HSS Taloor, HS Behri, GHS Bainglar, HS Diani, HS Katli, HS Gujwal, HS PaprBrahmna ,HS Samotha has been conducted by Zonal Education Officer Samba under the expert guidance of worthy Chief Education Officer Samba. In this educational trip, total 469 no. of students participated along with 40 no. of deputed staff.
The main aim of visiting Higher Institutes/historic monuments is to promote learning experiences and developing deeper appreciation to cultural heritages among students. The tour was flagged off by the Zonal Education Officer Samba to the prestigious places. During the start of the journey the breakfast was served to all participants along with staff members at Chichi Mata Temple and the stationery also distributed there. After reaching at Central University Jammu (Rahya), first visited Vivekanand Educational Block and then visited to DRDO lab, ISRO Satish Dhawan Lab and some other Departments where the students interacted with experts and then moved towards Utterbehni where the students visited ancient temples.
All the participants were served decent lunch and Evening Tea with Snacks. The students engaged with local experts and historians and showed keen interest in learning and exploring more new places and cultures. Overall it was a unique and tangible learning experience for strengthening the young ones to make learning more fun and exciting. The students fully enjoyed this study trip and finally came back to their destinations at 5:00 p.m.
