Through her Unique Cocoon Artistry, Rubia Bukhari Urges Youth to Cast Their Vote in Ongoing Assembly Elections Under SVEEP Initiative

Poonch, September 29 : Under the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) initiative, renowned cocoon artist Dr. Rubia Bukhari, through her “Cocoon Artistry Initiative,” has called on the people especially youth of Jammu and Kashmir to actively participate in the ongoing three-phase assembly elections. The final phase of polling is scheduled to be held on October 1st, 2024.

In a video posted by the Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir on official social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, Dr. Rubia Bukhari was seen encouraging the people of Jammu and Kashmir to recognize the power of their vote. Using her unique cocoon artistry, Dr. Bukhari illustrated the importance of voting through her intricate cocoon flakes artwork.

The post by the Chief Electoral Officer read:

Following this, the Election Commission of India also shared the video on their official Twitter and other social networking sites, amplifying the message of voter participation.

Dr. Rubia Bukhari, through her initiative “Dr. Rubia Bukhari’s Cocoon Artistry Initiative,” has been actively conducting awareness programs in collaboration with the Indian Army. Her efforts aim to empower the youth and women in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri, while simultaneously promoting civic responsibility and participation in the democratic process.
