JAMMU: .All J&K +2 PSC Lecturers’ Association organised a provincial meet at Jammu Club Jammu with the purpose to discuss the latest developments with regard to the long pending demand of Career Progression and to evolve the future strategy to achieve the desired goal. The meet was attended by +2 Principals, office bearers of Central body Jammu , district presidents and other delegates from Jammu Province.
As per press release ,the house extended its warmest greetings to Hon’ble CM Mr.Omar Abdullah ,Dy.CM.Sh Surinder Chowdhary, Ms. Sakina Itoo Minister for Education, Cabinet Ministers and other elected Legislators.
While highlighting the contribution of the association,M.A Katoch the general secretary informed the house that the association has been pursuing the issues of +2 cadre especially Assured Career Progression (ACP) for last one decade .He said that the recent move of constituting a sub committee by the Establishment Committee to examine the genuineness of the case is in fact a welcome step and an encouraging gesture. He also said that the struggle of the association against undue notional effect and implementation of Govt order No 743 of GAD 2007 can,t be ignored.M.A.Katoch asked the district presidents to stay united and strive hard to realise the long cherished goal of ACP.
Manjeet Chib ,the president of the association briefed the house the recent developments regarding the status of ACP,amendments in Service recruitment rules and proposed placement of senior lecturers as look after Principals. He said that +2 lecturers is the only intellectual class which is deprived of financial up gradation.” We have full faith in new Govt dispensation headed by Omar Abdullah in resolving the issues of stagnation,he further added. Chib urged the Govt to restore direct recruit quota of lecturers and fill all the vacant posts of lecturers and teachers by way of recruitment. Among the invitees Dr.Neeraj Jandyal, +2 Principal also appreciated the tireless efforts of the association and forwarded his valuable suggestions. Manmeet Bali, +2 Principal also hailed the commitment and spirit of the association. She assured unwavering support and cooperation for the general cause of lecturer fraternity.Dr.Rishi Manhas Ex vice president of the association said that the officers from Education Department must be involved in framing policies of education as they posses the expertise in the concerned field.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the Central.Body Jammu of All J&K +2 PSC Lecturers Association has felicitated +2 Principals and awardee lecturers “token of appreciation” for their examplary services and utmost dedication they have rendered in the field of Education. Among those include Dr.Neeraj Jandiyal,Manmeet Bali,Rishi Manhas,Virander Kumar and Imran Siddique whereas the awardee lecturers are Rakesh Chobber and Sandeepan Gupta.Others who addressed the house include Sanjeev Gupta Chief organiser, Arvind Kour vice president female, Ajay Singh Baloria Chief spokesperson.
