Rajouri, March 22, 2025: In a significant step towards strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) in schools, Dignity Education Vision International (DEVI) Sansthan, Lucknow, has launched an ALfA Master Trainers Training Program in Zone Lower Hathal, Jammu Division. This initiative is being carried out under the guidance of Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Naseem Javid Choudhary (JKAS), Joint Director School Education, Ms. Subah Mehta (JKAS), and CEO Rajouri, Mr. Iqbal Hussain.
The training aims to equip teachers and educators with the necessary skills to effectively implement the Accelerating Learning for All (ALfA) program in alignment with NIPUN Bharat under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The program saw the participation of esteemed Master Trainers from Lucknow, including Mr. Tom Denaley, Mr. Shivendra Pratap Singh, and Mr. Akhilesh Nath Tripathi, who played a key role in conducting the training sessions. Additionally, the event was coordinated by Mr. Shashikant Lakhanpal, Incharge Cultural Coordination Cells DSEJ, under the supervision of ZEO Lower Hathal Rajouri, Mr. Babu Singh. Their collective efforts emphasized the importance of collaborative learning and skill enhancement to improve the quality of education across the region.
This ALfA Master Trainers Training Program, which was initially launched in Rajouri and Reasi districts, is now expanding throughout the Jammu Division under the visionary leadership of Dr. Naseem Javid Choudhary and Ms. Subah Mehta.
In February 2025, the then Director School Education Jammu, along with officials from the Directorate of School Education Jammu, attended the ALfA training program in Lucknow. Impressed by the program’s effectiveness, he approved its expansion across other districts in Jammu Division to improve FLN levels among young learners.
The initiative is a significant step towards achieving the objectives of NEP 2020, ensuring that students receive quality, inclusive, and effective education. The ALfA Master Trainers Training Program is designed to equip educators with innovative teaching methodologies that foster a student-centered learning environment.
