“Pledge to Save Water: CEO Rajouri Inspires Students and Staff to Conserve Precious Resource”

Rajouri, 22 March : In a significant step towards environmental conservation, staff and students across District Rajouri took a solemn pledge to save water, emphasizing its vital role in sustaining life. This initiative was undertaken under the direction of District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Sh. Abhishek Sharma (IAS), and was actively promoted by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri, Sh. Iqbal Hussain.

The pledge ceremony was organized in Primary Schools (PS), Middle Schools (MS), High Schools (HS), and Higher Secondary Schools (HSS), as well as in education department offices across the district. The event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among students and staff regarding the conservation of water, recognizing it as a precious and limited resource.

During the program, special lectures and awareness sessions were conducted in various schools, where teachers and environmental experts highlighted the importance of water conservation and the need for judicious use of this essential resource. The sessions emphasized practical steps such as avoiding wastage, rainwater harvesting, and adopting water-efficient practices in daily life.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO Rajouri, Sh. Iqbal Hussain, urged students and teachers to take proactive steps in their homes and communities to conserve water. He stressed, “Water is the essence of life, and its conservation is our collective responsibility. Every drop saved today ensures a better tomorrow. Let us pledge to use water wisely and spread awareness about its importance.”
