ALfA Master Trainers Training Program Concluded in Zone Lower Hathal, Rajouri to Strengthen Foundational Learning

Rajouri, March 22, 2025 – The two-day Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Master Trainer Training Programme successfully concluded in Zone Lower Hathal, District Rajouri, under the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) and NIPUN Bharat framework. The training was conducted by Master Trainers from Dignity Education Vision International (DEVI) Sansthan, Lucknow, including Mr. Thomas Daley, Mr. Shivendra Pratap Singh (Program Manager), and Mr. Akhilesh Nath Tripathi (Program Manager).

The training program was organized under the guidance of Director of School Education, Dr. Naseem Javaid Choudhary (JKAS), Joint Director, Ms. Subah Mehta (JKAS), CEO Rajouri, Iqbal Hussain, and ZEO Lower Hathal, Babu Singh. The program was efficiently coordinated by Sh. Shashikant Lakhanpal from the Cultural & Coordination Cells, Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ).

The ALfA (Accelerating Learning of All) Master Training Program was initially introduced in Rajouri and Reasi Districts and is now being expanded across the Jammu Division under the leadership of Dr. Naseem Javaid Choudhary (JKAS) and Ms. Subah Mehta (JKAS). Notably, former Director of School Education Jammu, Sh. Ashok Sharma, had attended the ALfA training in Lucknow in February 2025 and was highly impressed with its impact. His endorsement led to the approval of its implementation across the Jammu Division to strengthen Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) levels.

Teachers actively participated in the two-day ALfA Master Trainer Training, demonstrating immense enthusiasm and commitment. On the concluding day, all participating teachers were awarded certificates by Dignity Education Vision International (DEVI) Sansthan, Lucknow. The Master Trainers pledged to lead the transformation of the Lower Hathal Zone, ensuring it emerges as a model in FLN implementation within the Jammu Division.
