RAJOURI, JULY 10: The District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz today inspected pace of progress on mega projects and gave on spot directions for adhering to timeline completion and quality specifications.
The DDC inspected work on Rs 139 Cr GMC Rajouri, Rs 5.40 Cr Hamilton bridge, Hamilton to Tariq bridge road, MES-Ashram bridge and Abdullah bridge- Hospital road. The DDC discussed with concerned officers timelines for these projects and bottlenecks, if any, hampering their fast track execution.
While inspecting work on academic, administrative and hostel blocks of GMC Rajouri, the DDC expressed satisfaction over the pace of work. However on observing some shortcomings, he constituted a team for monitoring the pace and quality of the work. The team comprising XEN Design Inspection and Quality Control(DIQC), XEN PMGSY Division Rajouri and XEN Rural Engineering Wing was asked to keep a check on quality of work and submit periodical report to the DDC.
The DDC directed the concerned to gear up the pace of work on all these crucial projects to avoid cost overrun. He also discussed the issue of removing structures from Abdullah Bridge to Hospital road and release of compensation in favour of affected people.
