Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has claimed responsibility for the attack on a CRPF party in Achabal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
“Cadres of the outfit attacked the convoy of CRPF (ROP) at Achabal Chowk in which two including an officer have been killed and several suffered injuries,” LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghanzavi said in a statement issued to media.
“Our field intelligence has reports which suggest that the number of casualties has increased to five,” the spokesperson said adding that “more casualties are expected”.
