JAMMU, JULY 15: The final match of JKCA Premier Championship of District Samba has been played at GGM Science College Hostel ground which was organized by Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) JKCA, Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the tournament while Sham SaroopKalsotra and Goutam Singh Jamwal were the guests of honour.
Retired Judge Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal along with other dignitaries and members of Samba District Organizing Committee were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari said that winning and losing are part of the game, adding that it is losing which makes one perfect to win. He said that the tournament has been organized in all the districts in which young and experienced cricketers participated.
The final match was played between Brigadier Rajinder Singh Cricket Club (BRCC) and Shahid Cricket Club (SCC) in which SCC outplays BRCC to lift title. Batting first, BRCC managed to score a modest total of 101 runs in the stipulated 25 overs. In reply, Shahid Cricket Club chased the target easily in 17.4 overs, losing 5 wickets and won the match.
