Doctors at Kalyani Medical College and Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital have successfully removed 35 kilograms of ovarian tumours from a 60-year-old woman in Nadia district of West Bengal. Doctors said that a tumour was discovered after the patient, named Arti Adhikary, complained of severe stomach pain.
Arti was admitted at Jawaharlal Hospital in Nadia district of West Bengal on July 14. The doctors claimed that they have never found such a huge tumour before.
In the ultrasonography test, the doctors had discovered a huge tumour in Arti’s ovaries. After doing all the necessary tests, the gynaecologists’ team of doctors headed by Mrigankamouli Saha operated on Arti for almost 2 hours and recovered two big tumours from her ovaries whose combined weight is said to be 35kg 300grams.
Doctor Saha said that Arti’s condition is said to be stable but kept under observation for 48-hours doctor Saha said.
