BANDIPORA, AUGUST 04: Continuing its efforts of retrieving Kahcharai and State land from illegal occupation of encroachers in district Bandipora, the anti-encroachment teams headed by Tehsildar Bandipora, Ajas, Aloosa, Sumbal, Hajin, Gurez and Tulail retrieved 68.14 kanal land including 37 kanal kahcharai and 31.14 kanal state land during first 04 days of current month.
This information was given out during a meeting of concerned officers held here, today with Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary in the chair. The meeting was convened to review the progress of anti-encroachment drive initiated by the district administration across the district.
It was also informed in the meeting that during last week as many as 79 kanal land including 48.6 kanal kahcharai and 30.17 kanal state land were retrieved in the district, there by the total land retrieved during the drive reckons to 147 kanal.
The Deputy Commissioner asked concerned officers and field functionaries of revenue department to visit every urban and rural area of the district and ensure that all types of encroachments are evicted. He also stressed for removal of encroachments from irrigation canals, footpaths, public roads and link roads, besides forest land for the welfare of the general public.
