Drug peddler arrested in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 18: Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday arrested a drug peddler on the city outskirts during a naka checking, a police spokesman said.

He said a naka checking was established at Chanapora on Srinagar-Charar-e-Sharief road.

During checking, police arrested a person, identified as Arshid Ahmad Dar, a resident of old Chanapora after nine bottles of Codeine Phosphate and 12 strips of Spasmoproxyvan were recovered from his possession.

He said FIR number 147/2018 under relevant sections of law was registered and further investigation has been taken up.
