Six SKUAST students, reported missing from campus, brought back

Srinagar, Aug 18: Six students of S K University of Science and Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir, reported missing from hotel on August 14, have been brought back by police, official sources said on Saturday.

They said a report was lodged in police station Ganderbal that six students of SKUAST have left the hotel without any prior permission from the authorities on August 14.

A team, headed by SHO Ganderbal Nisar Ahmed was constituted and investigation taken up, they said, adding that with the help of some ponywalas, all the six boys were traced in Gangbal area of the district in central Kashmir.

The students were brought back and later handed over to university authorities.

During questioning, the students said that they had gone on trekking trip to Gangabal lake, sources said.
