Vyas chairs Governing Body meeting of SMVD Narayana Super-speciality Hospital

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 18: The 50th meeting of the Governing Body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Narayana Super-speciality Hospital Kakryal was held here under the Chairmanship of Advisor to Governor and Member Shrine Board, Finance and Audit Committee of the Hospital B. B. Vyas.

The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer SMVD Shrine Board Dheeraj Gupta; Additional CEO Shrine Board Dr M. K. Kumar; Director, NVDSHPL Dr A Raghuvanshi; Senior Vice President Finance, NH A. Nagarajan; Chief Administrative Officer of the Hospital Dr (Brig) M. M. Harjai; Director Northern Region, NH Navneet Bali; Chief Engineer of the Board M. M. Gupta; and Facility Director of the Hospital Manu Ramachandar.

The governing body decided to take several decisions to further enhance the operational capabilities of the hospital for better patient care.

The performance of the hospital during the past month was reviewed and remedial measures for lacunae, if any, were directed to be implemented. The Governing body noted with satisfaction the role and preparedness of the hospital in providing excellent medical care during recent natural disaster that took place at Siar Baba near Reasi where from 35 patients were brought to the hospital for treatment.

The governing body also expressed satisfaction over the progress in respect of hospital’s empanelment with ECHS, CGHS (for cashless treatment), etc. In addition, providing 15% discount to the employees of the Fire & Emergency Services on the same lines as is being provided to the J&K Police Personnel was also approved.

The Governing Body also had a detailed discussion on the feedback of patients and their attendants and stressed that prompt action be taken on each and every suggestion for continuously improving the delivery systems of the hospital. In particular, it was desired to take effective steps for reducing the processing time relating billing etc.

The meeting also reviewed the status of availability of doctors at the Hospital and desired that any deficiencies in this regard be augmented by engagement of senior doctors/arranging visits of senior doctors from other Hospitals of NH group.

The meeting also advised the Hospital management to establish an effective and advance contact with the prospective beneficiaries prior to the Hospital’s empanelment with various agencies, besides the progress in respect of commencement of the Hospital’s ‘Organ Transplant’ programme was also reviewed.

The Governing body directed the Hospital management to ensure making the appointment for PET CT facilities as also the delivery of various diagnostic reports online, for the facility of patients.
