SRINAGAR, AUGUST 18: Advisor to the Governor, Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, today asked Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu to ensure that proper arrangements are in place for the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, being celebrated on August 22, 2018.
The Advisor directed the Divisional Administration’s to intensify market checking drives within their jurisdictions so that Government-notified rate lists are strictly adhered to, so as to ensure that customers are not put to any loss or inconvenience. He also issued instructions for ensuring availability of essential commodities well before Eid and setting up of Flying Squads to check complaints of overpricing of sacrificial animals.
Ganai also passed directions for ensuring general cleanliness and sanitation, especially in and around mosques and Eidgahs, where congregational prayers would be offered.
