DC Samba inaugurates Scouts & Guide camp
Reviews progress on RDD works across Nud area
SAMBA, MAY 12: Deputy Commissioner, S Rajinder Singh Tara today inaugurated scouts and Guide camp held under Rajya Puraskar here at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Nud.
Addressing the students, the DDC encouraged them to regularly participate in such programmes to grow up into responsible citizens of the country. He wished for their bright career ahead and appreciated their talent in varied activities.
Students from different parts of the country and from across Jammu and Kashmir are participating in the camp.
The inaugural function witnessed scintillating performances by students during a cultural programne.
During the camp held to promote National integration, the Students representing different states will participate in activities like Trekking, learn about Disaster management, Training programmes on first aid, painting and water sports
Principal JNV Sukdav Kour while speaking on the occasion briefed about various activities of Scout and Guide.
Meanwhile, the DDC chaired a meeting of Rural Development Department officials and took a detailed review of schemes of RDD works executed in Nud Block.
He directed field functionaries to achieve the set targets under SBM to attain ODF status for the block. He also inspected ongoing toilet construction work under SBM and other schemes of RDD.
The BDO Nud briefed the DC about the achievements of the block and also the progress made under SBM.
Officers from Revenue, Rural development department and field staff were also present.
