What an epic final it was. Two shoot-offs to decide the gold medal but the Indian Rahi Sarnobat held her nerve and gets the gold in the end. She has become the first Indian woman to win a gold medal in shooting at the Asian Games!

Ankita Raina and then Rohan Bopanna-Sharan Divij entered the semis and India have been assured of two more medals.

However, it was an unfortunate end for Manu Bhaker who was eliminated after the fifth round. Earlier, Ankita Raina made it to the semis and is assured of a medal in Tennis. Day 3 was India’s most successful day of the Asian Games in terms of medals won, winning five medals overall on Day 3. The team competition in women’s gymnastics will feature Dipa Karmakar but she won’t be a part of the vault event; however. Pranati Nayak and Aruna Reddy finished above her to qualify for the finals. Shooting will see Manu Bhaker in 25m Pistol and Anjum Moudgil in 50m Rifle 3 Positions in action. N Gaayathri and Rahi Sarnobat will also aim to make the finals.The men’s hockey team will also be in action, facing Hong Kong.
