Army soldier injured in stand-off with militants in north Kashmir’s Kupwara

An army soldier was injured in a brief gunfight in forest are aof north Kashmir’s Kupwara Kashmir late last night.

Army’s 47 RR ambush party and a group of militants had a stand-off at Babar Nad forests of Wagbhal late night, reported news agency.

Confirming the incident, an army officer said that a soldier Gursay Singh suffered bullet injury and was shifted to military hospital Drugmulla for treatment.

The condition of the injured soldier is stated to be stable, said the report.

It said that additional reinforcements of army and SOG reached at the site and launched searches to trace out the fleeing militant group.
