Senior BJP leader from Uttar Pradesh Lalji Tandon was sworn in as Bihar Governor on Thursday. He replaced Satya Pal Malik who took charge as Governor of Jammu and Kashmir on August 21.
Mr. Tandon was administered oath of office by Patna High Court Chief Justice Mukesh Rasik Bhai Shah.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, and other Ministers and leaders across party line were present during the swearing-in ceremony at the Raj Bhawan.
Mr. Tandon is famously known as political protégé of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who passed away recently.
