Local Administration today launched an anti-encroachment drive and demolished several illegal structures.
A team headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate Suresh Chander along with other officers and staff of NHAI visited Chadwal and Chadwal -Sanjimorh Link road. The team removed 160 illegally raised structures in front of the shops, 10 khokas and 2 shops.
The SDM said that the drive was part of regular action on the encroachers. He said 3 JCBs were pressed into action for swift removal of illegal structures. He appealed people and especially shopkeepers to desist from raising illegal encroachments on pavements and alongside roads. He said such drives will be held on regular basis to keep a check on encroachers.
