KATRA, MAY 14: The much awaited Bhawan – Bhairon Ghati Ropeway has started. At ₹800/- per person up and down rope way from today. The state of art project connecting Bhawan to Bhairon Temple is operational. This fully automatic Ropeway would be first of its kind in India. It would have the seating capacity of 45 passengers, most powerful 32 KV electric power in place already, fully air conditioned with all the internationally accepted norms. It would ferry roughly 800 passengers an hour for 10 hours a day. Being constructed at an estimated cost of 110 crores through the Garawent Co of Switzerland by the Shrine Board, it would reduce the steep journey of 3 km by an hour.
