Jammu and Kashmir police has denied reports on social media about increase in the honorarium of Special Police Officers (SPOs) in the state, a police spokesman said here on Saturday.
He said the report on social media that government has increased the honorarium of SPOs from Rs 5,500 to Rs 12,000 and Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,500 with effect from April 1, 2018 was not true.
On official Twitter account of Jammu & Kashmir Police, he posted, ”This fake message is on social media regarding the increase in the honorarium of the Special Police Officers. Police has taken cognisance of this mischief.”
