Three injured after forces open fire on protesters in Tral

Three persons were injured after government forces opened fire on protesters near Gadpora village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.

Reports said that the forces while leaving Aripal village after a gunfight were pelted with stones on Tral-Satura road near Gadpora.

The forces, they said, responded by firing live ammunition, resulting in injuries to three protesters.

One of the injured, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, son of Asadullah Dar of Gaang village of Tral sustained bullet injury in his chin.

He was taken to SDH Tral where from he was referred to Srinagar for specialised treatment.
Two others injured in the forces’ action were treated locally.
