Shamli (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 03: Bike-borne miscreants in wee hours of Wednesday, open-fired at a constable and home guard at Chausana check post in Shamli. The culprits fled the spot after seizing rifles from the personnel. Police reached the spot and launched investigation to nab the culprits. Sharad Sachan, Deputy Inspector General of police (DIG), Saharanpur Range said, “The miscreants seized rifles from both the constable & home guard. The constable has been injured and sent to Meerut for treatment.”
