Sant Kabir Nagar (UP), Oct 13: A 22-year-old man was killed and another received serious injuries Saturday when the motorcycle they were travelling in collided with a speeding truck here, police said.
The accident took place in Lahure village under Dhanghata police station area. Station Officer Santosh Kumar said, “Sadre Alam and Ataullah were hit by a speeding truck carrying stones. Sadre Alam died on the spot. Ataullah was hospitalised.”
The body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that efforts are on to nab the truck driver who reportedly fled the spot after the accident.
The police have seized the truck.PTI
