Sant Kabir Nagar (UP), Oct 13: One person died while another sustained serious injuries when their motorcycle collided with a speeding truck here, police said Saturday.
The accident occurred in Lahure village under Dhanghata Police Station area, they said.
Station officer Santosh Kumar said, “Sadre Alam (22) and Ataullah were hit by the speeding truck carrying stones. Alam died on the spot while Ataullah was hospitalised.”
The body has been sent for post-mortem, the police said, adding efforts were on to nab the truck driver who fled the spot after the incident.
Police have seized the truck.PTI
