DDC Kupwara reviews progress on Land Records Digitization

KUPWARA, OCTOBER 15: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today chaired a meeting to review the progress of preparation of Jamabandies for the year 2017-18 and implementation of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme at DC Office Complex Kupwara.

The meeting was attended by Regional Director Survey and Land Records Kamraz Baramulla, ADC Kupwara, MY Mir, ADC Handwara, Gulzar Ahmad, ACR Kupwara, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, experts of Ramtec and other concerned.

It was given out that out of the targeted 248 Jamabandiesupto 2016-17, 245 Jamabandies have been completed and work on 105 Jamabandies targeted for the year 2017-18 is in progress.

The DDC urged all Tehsildars and other concerned to offer full cooperation to executing agency for digitization of records and directions were passes to all concerned to gear up field functionaries and get the Jamabandies completed within the stipulated time frame.

RDS&LR informed the meeting that work on scanning of revenue records in Kupwara district will be started within the fortnight and ACR Kupwara was directed to identify accommodation for the purpose.

It was also desired that model tehsils shall be notified and in this regard DDC nominated four tehsils Handwara, Qalamabad, Sogam and Trehgam for the purpose.

DDC also asked Regional Director Survey and experts that requisite equipments like computers and laptops should be provided to the offices of the Tehsildars well in time so that the digitization of land records is done within stipulated time period.
